The Creator
A Life Across Stages and Worlds
Martha “Mizzy” Rivera is a multidisciplinary artist, author, virtual-world creator, and independent technology developer whose work brings together a lifetime of storytelling, performing arts, gaming, and creative exploration.
Born in Dallas, Texas, and raised in New England, Mizzy grew up in an unconventional educational environment shaped by the extraordinary dedication of her mother, Frances Young.
Before her twelfth birthday, she had already pursued intensive preprofessional ballet training, regional company performances, musical theater, hockey, speed skating, and equestrian disciplines. By thirteen, she was attending college-level courses at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where her interests in economics, labor studies, science fiction, and live-action roleplaying helped expand her creative world.
Her artistic journey eventually led from classical performance and fictional character development into competitive gaming, virtual-world entrepreneurship, digital design, and artificial intelligence.
In September 2026, she began developing OneiraMind™, a modular intelligence platform inspired by the possibility of giving virtual characters persistent identities, memories, relationships, and continuity. Maisie LoveCraft became its first pilot character.
Today, Mizzy’s vision is to demonstrate how artificial intelligence can meaningfully enhance gaming, storytelling, and interactive virtual experiences.
The Formative Years
From the Stage to Virtual Worlds
-
Chapter One
A Childhood Dedicated to the Arts
Mizzy’s childhood centered on an extraordinary commitment to classical ballet and theatrical performance. By her own recollection, training and rehearsal sometimes reached roughly eighty hours a week, and her family chose homeschooling in part to make room for that demanding artistic education.
She trained and performed throughout New England. At the Academy of Performing Arts in Orleans, Massachusetts, she studied ballet, jazz, tap, and musical theater and gained company performance experience, working with choreographers and dance educators including Skip Warren, Kathy Whitelaw, Elaine Chase, Terry Norgeot, and Suzette Hutchinson. She remembers Skip Warren selecting her for leading roles, and a close friendship with his daughter. She also performed with his company, North Atlantic Ballet.
Her training extended to additional classes at Boston Ballet, studies in Vermont, and a full ballet scholarship at Northampton Ballet that she recalls being supported by the foster-children’s arts philanthropy of actress and former dancer Victoria Rowell. That scholarship record is still being researched.

Chapter Two
On Stage as Martha Young
Performing as Martha Young, she played the Newsboy in the 1991 Provincetown Theatreworks production of Working, featured in the number “Neat to Be a Newsboy.” In the early 1990s, she played Baby June in Gypsy at Harwich Junior Theatre under director Nina Schuessler.
Mizzy remembers warm newspaper reviews and, in time, invitations to take leading roles without auditioning. The original reviews and cast lists are being sought through archival research.
-
Chapter Three
Ice, Rink, and Saddle
Alongside the dance schedule, she played right wing and goaltender for the Nauset Flyers hockey team, trained in speed skating, and practiced figure-skating techniques on her hockey skates. She rode her own Morgan horse, Stuffy, studying dressage and hunter/jumper riding. Each discipline deepened her understanding of movement, coordination, animal behavior, and performance.
Her professional ballet aspirations eventually came to an end because of recurrent kneecap dislocations associated with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. The discipline, musicality, and sense of character she built in those years carried forward into everything that followed.

Chapter Four
Stories at Thirteen
At thirteen, Mizzy began attending college-level classes at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, studying subjects including economics and labor studies. Through the university’s science-fiction club she discovered live-action roleplaying, including White Wolf’s Vampire: The Masquerade.
She soon began writing elaborate character histories for other players. That work sparked an enduring interest in fictional identity, personality, relationships, and narrative continuity: the same questions that sit at the heart of OneiraMind today.

Chapter Five
Worlds Built Together
Gaming took her into the Major League Gaming community around Bungie’s Halo series, where she served as a Brigadier General in the Air Force division of the Council of Brothers clan, a clan leadership role within the community.
When Second Life began attracting public attention, Mizzy and her mother saw it featured on television and wanted to explore it together. Her first avatar was Mahriana Morningstar. The virtual world soon became more than entertainment: while Mizzy and Frances lived in New England, her adoptive father, a beloved paternal figure and close friend of Frances, lived in Texas, and Second Life let them share a home and spend time together across the distance.
Mizzy went on to run a virtual real estate business earning Linden dollars, and her work in digital worlds grew to include design, interactive character creation, mesh, animations, and virtual environments. Those experiences helped shape the ideas behind OneiraMind.

Chapter Six
The Author and Artist
Mizzy is an author and visual artist. Her writing includes poetry, fictional character histories, and creative storytelling, and she is developing an ongoing poetry collection, Songs of a Truth Teller. Her creative work also spans 3D design, character development, virtual-world assets, animations, and interactive experiences: a bridge between the performing arts and the technology she builds today.
The Woman Behind the Curtain
Frances Young
The woman who made it possible
Behind Mizzy’s extraordinary childhood opportunities stood her mother, Frances Young. A single mother raising her children in New England, Frances found ways to provide opportunities that would otherwise have been financially impossible.
At the Academy of Performing Arts in Orleans, she worked as an administrative assistant and staffed the ticket window. She built and painted theatrical sets, including while she was pregnant with Mizzy’s younger brother. She bartered her time, labor, and talents to help cover the cost of dance training, and made sure her daughter had the tights, leotards, and costly pointe shoes that serious ballet requires. Mizzy credits her mother with making her early artistic education possible.
Years later, Frances was beside her daughter again as they discovered Second Life together. The worlds had changed, from painted theatrical sets to virtual environments, but their shared curiosity and creativity remained.
Before there was OneiraMind, there was a mother who believed imagination deserved every opportunity to grow.
September 2026
The Origin of OneiraMind™
In September 2026, Mizzy began exploring an idea that would become OneiraMind™. She wanted to know whether virtual characters could do more than repeat scripted dialogue.
- Could they remember people?
- Could they recognize family relationships?
- Could they maintain consistent identities?
- Could their conversations build on meaningful earlier interactions?
Maisie LoveCraft became the first developmental pilot. OneiraMind has since grown into a broader modular platform concept for persistent character intelligence, with Wish Intelligence™ as the complementary AI intelligence layer within the OneiraMind ecosystem. The project is under active development, and many of its capabilities are still being designed and tested.
OneiraMind™ was independently originated by Martha “Mizzy” Rivera in September 2026.

The Vision
More Meaningful Worlds
Mizzy believes artificial intelligence can bring meaningful benefits to gaming and virtual worlds. Her ambition is not simply to automate characters. It is to explore how persistent identity, memory, personality, and relationships can support richer storytelling and more compelling virtual experiences.
OneiraMind is intended as a foundation for a wide range of virtual characters, of which Maisie is the first.
For Mizzy Rivera, the future of virtual worlds isn’t simply about making them look more realistic. It’s about making the experiences within them more meaningful.
